Thread: Ads in designed boxes?

I noticed an uncommon placement while browsing, please have a look at the attached image and let me know if we are allowed to have such placement or not.

Could you upload the full size image as that is far too small to see well.

ha ha ha there's no way I can see the image... but I guess mixke put the adblock between paragraph or something... Yes bigger pic will be great.

Can you post a link to that website? I think he does that because he has 'extra' ads (You get them when you generate 'xxxx' million views monthly)

According to G Adsense TOS:

Encouraging clicks

In order to ensure a good experience for users and advertisers, publishers may not request that users click the ads on their sites or rely on deceptive implementation methods to obtain clicks. Publishers participating in the AdSense program:

• May not encourage users to click the Google ads by using phrases such as "click the ads," "support us," "visit these links," or other similar language
• May not direct user attention to the ads via arrows or other graphical gimmicks
• May not place misleading images alongside individual ads
• May not promote sites displaying ads through unsolicited mass emails or unwanted advertisements on third-party websites

A few years ago, before Google banned the practice, I added a background image to one of my AdSense blocks and it actually lowered CTR.

Yeah I guess google will not allow it. Do you modified the adscripts?
