Thread: Adsense added to NetBuilders

  1. #11
Again, like my blogs, I want visitors who stay and read.
    Not hit and runners.
Smart you are to realize that traffic does not equal the right people.

Those nonsense posters would not have added anything to AdSense revenues, so it was a good move. Google usually does not pay for AdSense clicks from those countries.

Go for it. No problem with me trying to monetize the hit and run traffic. The PPC will determine the bounty more than anything like $1 a click vs. 1 cent.

Well Rob, to keep on making those billions, you should add a privacy policy to the site! For what i know, this is one of the main rules to use AdSense.

Never realized we didnt already have one. Guess I shall.

Our new privacy policy is if you want privacy, don't post information on the internet. Will they go for that?

I just find it funny as hell they require that I provide a privacy policy, as Google is compliant with if not actively complicit in quietly providing sensitive personal data they gather to the NSA. [Wait, did I type that out loud?]

Or that the official government website for obamacare tells you that your information is not private and they will use all submitted information as they so please.

But you do not see that privacy statement unless you luck out and find the right page, which is not really a page for the users to find.

I give up. Anyone know WHERE you put a privacy policy on a forum?

You can make a section in the FAQ for TOS and Privacy (i saw this on some forums) or just make an extra page (there is a tutorial on vbulletin.org). After that all you'll have to do is to add a link to it in the footer, here: Admin -> Settings -> Options -> Site Name/URL/Contact Details -> Privacy Statement URL.

Yep, it should be in the footer.php (don't know for sure if it's named that way in vBulletin) and next to Contact us, most add the "privacy statement". Ads are cool! Hope it pays for the bills, unfortunately up to now I have yet to meet an interesting offer.
