    Unhappy AdSense Blocked Ads

    Hi,

    Adsense has blocked ads on one of my posts. I understand it works off of the the words you use in the post.

    Can someone please tell me how many more words need to be added so it won't be blocked?

    It has nothing to do with the number of words, but with some of the words you've used.

    "sex tape"
    "sex offenders"
    etc...

    True, Adsense will display PSA's if your page contains certain words.

    I've had that trouble before with a page about Grand theft auto 4, I had "rocket launcher" in my url and adsense would put PSA's on it till I removed it.

    Shenron answered your question, there are several words you need to avoid, words like:

    note this list is not accurate at all but you get the idea

    dang she is hot, gotta get that tape

    You can allways replace the words with images like the list I posted.

    or try replacing "sex tape" with "revelating tape"

    Not gonna do the image thing I have used the word sex before and had ads.

    Example Sex and the City

    It has to be the word count.

    Just wondering if anyone might know how many or what % of words triggers the ad that are run.

    Try using ad targeting and see if that helps to ignore the sections containing the stop words.

    <!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) -->

    <!-- google_ad_section_end(weight=ignore) -->

    Hi,

    Are you thinking of placing the ignore in around the words "sex tape"?

    That way it will pick up on the "sex offenders" and the ads will show like I was hoping.

    Yes. Test it out and let's see if that helps.

    Also, do you have sex tape in the title? I had a probably today were an article that was about adoption of a software system was showing mad ads about adopting babies. I removed adoption from the title and the targeting changed to software. Even though adoption was still mentioned a few times in the articles. So, I'm guessing that the title more weight with adsense ad targeting.
