Thread: adsense going crazy ?

adsense going crazy today ? 5-5-2010, cause my site use to make 40-80 dollar per day, each click avg around 0.80-1.20 but today (halfday), 35 click and i make 1.89 ? cpm 0.06 ....
what really happen ? traffic increase, CTR 1% ++ but cpm go down to ground ...

just wonder why, some time i hate google cause of this, we never ever know what going to happen to us, from traffic to profit

Did your source or country of traffic change today? I see that on some of my newer properties...clicking along, then bam for a day or two < 1 cent a click, then back to normal a day or two later. When it happens, I don't do anything in response unless I had already planned content/marketing/etc.

I think what they didn't give to Sami they gave to me Course the 3 of us added together probably isn't half of Will's take for the day...nothing weird with mine, on the expected #s for today.

each click less then a cent now, just wonder ....

this proves only how Google is very unpredictable. I checked my earnings for that day and it seems to be okay, nothing strange at that time.

after that day everything come back to normal ... but it does repeat after some time

like yesterday, first 9 hour (40k impression i make 56) but the rest 15 hour with 60k impression i make 10++ it does drag my cpm from 1.9 to 0.8) ...

I've heard of AdSense 'smart pricing' people so the clicks are worth less than usual. The rumor I heard is that smart pricing lasts for one week once it kicks in, then things go back to normal until the cycle restarts.

I have increased my CTR by getting more traffic and changing the placement of my ad units so they are in better locations. Unfortunately, my per-click value has decreased suddenly.

That's an easy one to answer, in those 9 hours you had those countries online that are high paying (e.g.: US), and in the other hours mostly from those countries that are paying less (e.g.: India).

my traffic 95% from same country and 3 % from neighbor ...
