Thread: Which adsense plugin for wordpress do you use?

  1. #11
    Yes, any time a default theme developed by the WordPress team is modified, rename the theme folder and change the header information at the top of the CSS file. WordPress will not try to update the theme if you do this.

    I also do this sometimes on html sites. It's then convenient to create different files with various ad sizes for simple handling like ad728x90.php.

    On WP either the sidebar widget or just insert the ads manually into the template files code. But sometimes the plugins come in handy as they allow to put the ads within the post content, after the first/second paragraph.

    You can insert the PHP include statement within the loop and add up to three Adsense Ads within the content:

    Code:
    <?php if (have_posts()) : while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>
    With this code Google AdSense ad units will be placed in only the first 3 posts.

    Code:
    <?php  if ($wp_query->current_post < 3) { ?>
    <?php include("ad1.php"); ?>
    <?php } ?>

    The above code insertion is the kind of thing a plugin does, but the plugin gives the user an admin interface to hide them from the geeky code stuff

    The text widget is included as standard and can be placed in any sidebar by drag and drop. And now there can be various sidebars anywhere in the theme. So good theme architects should maybe add multiple sidebar options? This would help minimize the number of plugins needed.

    Few years back, I was banned from adsense.
    Could never regain my account or even start a new one.

    But we are moving, so I might try again to set up an account.
    And put adsense on my blogs.

    An important part of Adsense compliance is to add a privacy policy to your sites according to their webmaster guidelines. Also, you should not alter the cut and paste code in any way.

    For what i know if you got banned, the only possible way is to register a business account. You just need to have an LLC or something.
