Adsense Privacy Policy

Is it a must to have a privacy policy written up for sites which have Google Adsense displayed?

According to me, No- I have used AdSense on sites in the past and I have never had a privacy policy.

It was not required in the past, but it is now.

From the AdSense Terms and Conditions:

You must have and abide by an appropriate privacy policy that clearly discloses that third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your users’ browser, or using web beacons to collect information, in the course of ads being served on your website. Your privacy policy should also include information about user options for cookie management.

Sir Will but what about blogs on wordpress . I have seen many blogger don't have any policy written on their blogs and they are making good money too .

Dont worry about what other people are doing, just worry about your own site.

Google wants you to have a privacy policy in pace, then do it.

My all sites have privacy policy but its great to know about others . It help us to know what can happen in near future if google take action .

There's a free wordpress plugin to take care of this

Privacy Policy Plugin for WordPress Updated For New AdSense Privacy Policy

If you are using adsense on wordpress (hosted on your own domain) - this is an easy way out...
