Adsense is slowing down pages since a few days..

    Hello,
I'm having a problem for the past few days, everytime I visit a website using Google Adsense, that website goes extremely slow. Even if there aren't a lot of ads on the page. Previously I didn't had that problem, but it looks like since the ads went to another domain it's been slowed down

I'm also getting slower pages if the page is using Analytics, although that's only a second and a half maybe (Which means a lot in fact )

Do you experience this too or am I the only one? I'm currently on AdBlock again, as I hate slow websites. Let's hope it will be over soon, I'll try if the ads are fast again by next week...

I've not had any problems (and I don't live too far from Belgium ), so perhaps it is just you...

Well I've just removed these Firefox addons:

    • Alexa Sparky
    • SearchStatus
    • GooglePreview

The only addon I still have is AdBlock plus and FireFTP. And I have to say, activating AdBlock didn't help so it was definately not an Adsense issue. It should be an issue with one of the above addons (SearchStatus or Sparky I guess).

Well I'll never know, but one thing I learned is that I won't put these addons on again I'll check the PR and Alexa through PRcheck.nl - Check je pagerank! instead

Does AdBlock plus stop the ads from downloading, or only from displaying?

It's doing both I guess, as soon as it views a term related to the ads it denies the connection to it. So it isn't downloading the ad, nor displaying it

At least that's how I think it works

I'm experiencing the same now, but with Firefox only. @_@

It looks like I need to get rid of FF for a while. :\

Which Firefox version are you using? I'm on the 2nd version currently...

3.0.11 but it used to run smoothly, at least until recently.
