    Basics of AdSense

Okay, I've been using AdSense for about two years now and I still don't understand the concept. I'm sure I could figure it out if I read and read, but I'm too impatient to do the proper research.

What is the method to earn more money? Do you want the most amount of clicks in the smallest amount of impressions? In other words, does 10 clicks out of 1000 impressions yield higher earnings than 10 clicks out of 5000 impressions?

If you have fewer advertisements per page, does that also increase your earning potential? For example, does one click on a page with one advertisement yield more than one click on a page with three advertisements?

    Thanks in advance.

    To answer your questions:

    - The amount of impressions you get has no affect on your earnings.

    - Earnings/click are based on the niche of your website, as well as the location of the person clicking.

    - When placing more than 1 ad on a page, the best-paying ads are placed on the top. So if you had two ads, and I clicked the lower one, it would get you less money than the higher one. Regarding amount of ads - you want to put as many ads as your website can nicely hold. You want to make the most out of each page, but don't ad spam.

To increase the earnings, you can try placing higher paying keywords instead of the lower paying keywords.

Correct. It will depend on the niche or keywords that the site is targeting.

Another consideration is the quality of traffic. Sites with poor quality traffic may be smart priced amd receive less per click.
