Changing Adsense Publisher ID, is it OK?

I'm in a bit of a difficult situation, a couple of my sites have had my girlfriend's AdSense pub id on them but we're running our sites separately now and I want to change to my own AdSense.

Do I need to notify Google that I'm going to do this? I hope this isn't a silly question that will elicit howls of laughter but maybe other AdSense beginners would also like to know.

Not at all, if you sell or buy a website, they will change the pub-id too without letting Google know

Just delete the site as a channel in your account

It's perfectly okay to change Adsense Publisher ID. You don't need to inform Google about this. ~~But make sure you don't have two different pub-IDs on same page.~~

I thought they started allowing this since a few months ago? Or am I wrong?

From what i know, they allowed 2 pubs on one site but still one pub on one page.

Interesting! I wasn't aware you could have ads from two pub-ids together. Not that it changes anything for me, but good to know.
Also apparently 3 links units per page are allowed, I might add some more then
