    Customising adsense for search

On Ask the Builder they use a much more attractive google search box than 'normal' but I can't see how I can customise the search button in adsense settings

    Is it possible? and allowed?

    Thanks

Click on advanced search at the right of the search box.. it will bring you to this link:
    Google Advanced Search

Thanks, perhaps i wasn't clear, the question was about adsense for search when added to a site

It doesn't look like that advanced search page is telling me anything about adsense for search setup...

    Cheers

This Ask the Builder dude is a real high earner on AdSense. He was featured in their success stories a while ago. Like other high earners (such as about.com), he probably gets special treatment from Google and can customise his ads and search box.

Looking at his code I guess you're right.

The other adsense ads on his site don't look special though so I guessed he wasn't a premium publisher, and I wouldn't think an alexa 20000 site on its own would come close to having enough visitors - perhaps he's got other sites as well.

Ah well, I'll just wait for the adsense team to contact me and offer me special status as well.

  7. It looks like he's using Google Custom Search.
