Write them back and tell them you believe the person evaluating your site didn't delve past the article titles. If they'd delve past the titles, they'd see that the content is in fact acceptable and does not violate the Google TOS. Ask them respectfully to re-review the site one last time.
Other than DMCA violations, which you've ruled out via copyscape, here is what Google considers to be unacceptable:
Sites with Google ads may not include or link to:
- Pornography, adult or mature content
- Violent content
- Content related to racial intolerance or advocacy against any individual, group or organisation
- Excessive profanity
- Hacking/cracking content
- Gambling or casino-related content
- Illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia content
- Sales of beer or hard alcohol
- Sales of tobacco or tobacco-related products
- Sales of prescription drugs
- Sales of weapons or ammunition (e.g. firearms, firearm components, fighting knives, stun guns)
- Sales of products that are replicas or imitations of designer goods
- Sales or distribution of coursework or student essays
- Content regarding programs which compensate users for clicking ads or offers, performing searches, surfing websites or reading emails
- Any other content that is illegal, promotes illegal activity or infringes on the legal rights of others

Politely ask them to re-evaluate your site. Again, reiterate that you have carefully reviewed the terms of service and cannot locate any violations.
Mention that all articles are original and violate no copyrights.

Then I guess you have no choice but to reapply using their standard channels.
If they reject you again, contact support, but don't hold your breath. Consider moving on to another program.
The current theme should be fine.
I'm Surprised you haven't gotten it yet as my friend got an adsense account and my friend applied for an account that had 3 posts on blog spot and it content was copied from wikipedia I guess they just automatically approve people from blog spot?
And I got accepted by them for a blog spot blog that had like 5 posts.
