Google Adsense Privacy Policy

Participants of the Adsense program are required by Google TOS to post a privacy policy on all sites displaying Adsense ads. Whether or not you've read the fine print, if you are actively displaying Adsense ads, you have likely agreed to the terms which mandate this action.

If you've put this off for any reason, it appears Google will actually penalize you for this violation. Here are some sample policies and generators that may assist you in streamlining the writing process if you have not yet posted your own policy.

Yep, I use them on all my proxies I don't wanna pay fees because someone hacked via my proxy

Thanks m42, you just reminded me to add a privacy policy to my Spanish website. If anyone has a Spanish language website and wants a Política de privacidad, then a Spanish sample is available here which I've used on my Aprender Inglés site.

Thanks for the reminder.

I added this to all sites when it was introduced - but whenever I change a wordpress theme I forget to add it to the new footer file so it goes missing again.

I'm just thinking here...

If you added it as a WordPress Page, it would automatically survive theme changes.

It would. But often themes have separate link sections etc for site pages, which I usually like to keep in the sidebar, but I wouldn't want the privacy policy to be included in these lists, but only accessed from the footer.

There may be a way to 'not show' individual pages in these menus but i've never tried or thought about it. Perhaps I will now.

If you display Adsense Ads? Yes.

1. Post your privacy policy as a blog entry. Backdate it if possible.
2. Add a link to it on the main page of your blog.
