Google Adsense - Worst form of Monetization!!!

I strongly believe that unless you have a site that experiences server crashing traffic, any form of CPA advertising (including Google Adsense) is a waste of time and money. 5 years ago, you would have earned, say, $1000 per month from 3000-5000 visits per day, however, nowadays, you will barely get $50-$100 per month from that number...and if you are lucky!!!

Please discuss this and prove me wrong!

I see so many sites earning well from AdSense. Look at Shawn Hogan from DP.

Yes, but didn't I say you need a huge traffic figure! DP would well get getting around 500,000+ UV per day, thus the income!

  4. In fact Shawn is planning to remove the ads as he is earning almost nothing now.

I agree that AdSense is the worst form of monetization. However in the beginning if newbies use it, it is ok.

People now a days just ignore AdSense ads and are blind towards them.

Yes Farrhad. And if you really want to make a living through adsense income, it might prove very difficult indeed. Adsense needs just too much traffic to produce any significant results.

Newbies can get better results via affiliate marketing, I guess...

Affiliate marketing is not at all easy.

But still better than Adsense, I guess...

  8. The only place where I use Google Ads is in my feed..

  9. if you wanted to earn a lot with google adsense you'd have to have a lot of good content + lots of visitors.

I earned 100+ in 3 months.. until google banned that site from using adsense..
After that it's just been downhill..
and the generation these days.. people don't really look at ads anymore. Its just something thats.. "there".. nothing more..

  10. It all depends upon the type of web site you have.

For 90+% of my sites, AdSense outperforms all other advertisers.

But really, that's just a reflection of the type of sites I've been building.

I recently purchased Stimey.com. That type of site performs horribly with AdSense. I'm going to put CPM ads on that site. They should outperform AdSense by 4-5x.

I also purchased Leather Craft Secrets. That site will make a lot more selling the eBook than it ever could using AdSense.

But consider Best In Life. I can't imagine an alternative that would pay better than AdSense on that site.
