    It looks like a text only square ad to me, you need to either make an ad that's just text, not image in your adsense account, or do it manually using the old adsense code and specify just text i.e use "google_ad_type = "text";" instead of "google_ad_type = "text_image";"

    Example:
    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript"><!--
    google_ad_client = "pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx";
    google_ad_width = 336;
    google_ad_height = 280;
    google_ad_format = "336x280_as";
    google_ad_type = "text";
    google_ad_channel = "";
    google_color_border = "FFFFFF";
    google_color_bg = "FFFFFF";
    google_color_link = "1F7AD7";
    google_color_text = "000000";
    google_color_url = "000000";
    //-->
    </script>
    <script type="text/javascript"
       src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
    </script>
    That would only display ads like your pic then, just text.
    If I can't be a good example, I'll just have to be a terrible warning...

    It's likely a Premium Publisher. They can modify the CSS and format of the ads to fit their websites.

    It's a pity they don't allow these kinds of ads for non-premium customers, as they fit in a lot better. They also reduce "ad blindness". The Adsense Premium Publisher program is invite-only though, according to this: How can I get Adsense Premium Account? - AdSense Help

    There is a separate class of Premium Adsense publishers who make much more money than common Adsense accounts. If your site receives more than 5 million search queries or 20 million content page views a month, you may qualify for AdSense premium service.
    ahh yes. seems like we will need lots of hard work to qualify too.
