Interest-based Advertising

Interest-based advertising will allow advertisers to show ads based on a user's previous interactions with them, such as visits to advertiser website and also to reach users based on their interests (e.g. "sports enthusiast"). To develop interest categories, we will recognize the types of web pages users visit throughout the Google content network. As an example, if they visit a number of sports pages, we will add them to the "sports enthusiast" interest category.

How do you guys think this will affect your CTR?

Well, some of us are not happy with the big G going way overboard with their cookies and data harvesting. So, I actually not sure if I want to participate at the AdSense end of this.

And Google says they aren't evil. Hitler didn't think he was either....

I think it should really help increase CTR, which if you're upset about that there is something wrong with you...

I'm not so sure about that CTR increase, in fact I'm a bit worried as you might end up getting a lot of unrelated ads 'cause of past user searches.

Just got this too.
I'm still not sure what exactly this thing is. But as usually I'm gonna wait some times, see the first reviews and comments from you people before changing anything
