Thread: Mediapartners-Google and google toolbar

So I added my 404 script to a site of mine and was messing around tonight and did a random test typing in the url mysite.com/chicken-butt.php and then the way the system works it sent me a email reporting the 404 error @ 18 Dec 2008 09:32:12PM which it was suppose to do since I visited a page that did not exists. Then @ 18 Dec 2008 09:36:12PM I get another 404 error email and the user agent was Mediapartners-Google

Guess G knows everything I do. Kinda scary when I think about that monitor the sites I visit. Only thing I can think of is the Google toolbar or search box in firefox is what is reporting this to them.

Anyone else seen this?

Mediapartners-Google is the AdSense bot.

Does the 404 page include AdSense ads?
