Thread: Replacing Adsense with Private Advertising

I'm not really a fan of Adsense. I know a lot of people make money with it, but I just think there are so many better ways to make money with a website than with Adsense.

I wrote an article on my website about how you could use Adsense to generate private ad sales and make even more money with that same ad block. Let me know what you think.

I think you missed a big piece of information that would throw off a lot of your calculations for pricing ads in the article.

As a publisher, you get 68% revenue share, while G gets only 32%. This information has been officially published by G.

So it is rather incorrect to say "I would wager mega money that the amount of money they take out is more than 50% of the click" or that "Google takes the biggest chunk they can and you’re left with the remains".

I do this, why remove an income source?

Also, I don't like the idea of going out looking for Advertisers, they come to you if your site ranks for their keywords, you just need to provide a means to be contacted. And to automate the process you can sign up with a service such as Text Link Ads (they advertise your link spot but take a chunk of the revenue). But you don't have to do any work apart from a cut and paste of some code.

I got banned by adsense. But my site is a free Web-Host, and Is ranked very low on Google, So making money form My Site is out of the question
