If your in a niche with many advertisers I don't think its much to worry about.

What about behavioral targeting? Does google only use this on their own properties and not on adsense sites?

All in all, now is a better time then ever to be less reliant on adsense income.

I think it's better to ride it out and make as money as possible. Once the smoke clears, it will easier to sort things out.

I say this to myself all the time. With G you never know. Webmasters that were doing well with the PR links and directories saw their revenue dry up overnight.

It's probably one of the many AdSense mailing list buttons I've hit over the years.

Google really can be quite disorganized.

I think you're right. My big niche is IT, and it's seldom a problem to have a good fill rate in the IT niche.

This could hit my smaller sites much harder, but they aren't earning a great deal of revenue anyway.

Oh hell yes! NetShelter is slowly replacing AdSense as my top revenue source, but even they may find themselves replaced with direct ad sales.

Hehe. Maybe it's the shitty traffic you're getting from the translation plugin.

Yeah, I hate that $200/day in almost free revenue.

NetShelter requires 500k page views a month to apply. It's not an option for the small publisher.

Yep. Life can be very hard for small publishers.
