    When to create AdSense account?

    Hello,
First I would like to thank a few people for getting me to actually get off my rear and start down this path. Will thanks for all the insight and encouragement. m42 thanks for letting me bend Will's ear so much while I was in .sg even though last year this time Will was telling me the same things. I figured I couldn't face him in 2010 if I had not at least created a toehold. Ok my question is at what point in building my site should I sigh up for the AdSense account. Is it ok to have them evaluate the site when the content is just skeletal versus flushed out? How critical is it to have the website complete during this initial account creation? If this is critical is there some other way to get the account started with a partial site?

    Thanks for any insight!

How skeletal is the question that answers your question.

If you site has a few complete pages, and the others have some content rather than just 'page under construction' type messages then it would likely be accepted. But to be safe, quickly flesh out a few of the incomplete pages even if they aren't 100% written the way you want them.

I'd have a few pages working before I applied with a new site, but I would be careful to hide anything that wasn't working. Google used to be grumpy about "under construction" pages.

Yes, get it looking respectable and not empty-looking. Bear in mind that new AdSense sign-ups can take a long time to be approved now, so don't wait too long!

To think that it's only been a year or so since my 3-minute approval. How long are they taking nowadays?

About 8 hours in my case, and this was only 4 months ago, and with some incomplete pages on the site.

Setting up a blogspot blog with a few posts used to be the easiest way to get into adsense. I think it should still work.
Post 3-5 posts, one per day on a certain niche and submit your application.
