Would you block Google from AdSense

    Hi,

I know this sound dumb. I have no idea how much it even pays. I am just tired of seeing the ads for google.com/chrome all over my sites. It is like they run the ad on about every third page or more

I was on one of my sites and all 3 ads spots on the same page google.com/chrome I went to another page on the site and 2 of the 3 ads were google.com/chrome.

I do not see how that ad has anything to do with a celebrity site???

Only reason I have not filtered them out is I don't know if you can or if you do will they get PO and cut my AdSense account.

    Not sure on the rules.

    What would you guys do

In the AdSense portal, go to the AdSense Setup tab, then the Competitive Ad Filter sub-tab.

Then, just enter google.com/chrome in the dialog box and click the Save changes button.

I have noticed on a lot of sites of all kinds that use adsense that one of the links will be for google chrome.

4 links in a box, 3 of them that match the keywords on the site, yet the 4th link is google chrome.

Am thinking that google really wants traffic and to get more people to download and use chrome.

I also blocked it. Same with the TS, my sites are in entertainment niche and I think most of the traffic I get with my sites are not much inclined on technology so they won't give a damn on what browsers they are using

Is Google paying for eventual clicks or it's using the websites to advertise their product for free? I don't think these clicks have any value...
