Affiliate Sales of $5-$10 Each

Can you make money selling affiliate products and only earning a cheap cut on them? I am selling a few e-books through affiliate links and I'm earning about $5 per sale, whereas they sell for about $9 or $10 bucks each.

Sure you can make money like that, you just need to do high volumes.

With AdSense I earn less than a quarter per click -- but I earn a lot of clicks.

But then again... I'm sure the advertisers advertise for a reason. They wouldn't truly be daft enough to spend the amounts of money that they do, if it didn't have some form of gain for them.
