Thread: Amazon aStore

You will definitely need to add content to an aStore page; otherwise, there isn't anything for a search engine to index. They do not index content in an iFrame. Even if they did, it would be the same content as 10,000 other Amazon sites.

I just set up my first site with an aStore a couple of weeks ago and I added content below the aStore. We will see how well it is doing in a couple of months.

I saw something shiny and forgot about the aStores. I've decided to spend some more time with them, because I have some domain names which make more sense as aStores than as poorly written blogs. http://www.cheapdvdplayer.net/ is one example.

I also decided to run a possibly interesting test. I swapped the content on http://www.newcountrysongs.net/ and http://www.newcountrysongs.org/. The video blog was ranking a little better than the aStore. Let's see if that changes.

Will, did you just take the code for astore from amazon and put on the dvd store?

I thought I made ugly sites, but that one is just as ugly if not more so. LOL

Don't forget to add some content to the page. Check the source code. There isn't anything for a spider to index. It's all in an iframe.

In the short term, that would muck with my testing. In the long term, it's a good idea.
