Question Can you draw attention to Amazon Associate product links?

Right, so I know that you are not allowed to draw attention to - for instance - the Google AdSense ads on your webpages, but are you allowed to draw attention to any Amazon Associates product links that you might have on your pages?

For example, can you write things such as "Check out these products available on Amazon:", "See the links below", or something like that?

I can't find anything explicitly forbidding this in the Amazon Associates terms and conditions. Thanks for any help with this.

This is almost always allowed and encouraged in affiliate programs.

It's normally only PPC (Pay Per Click) programs which don't allow that sort of thing.

I believe so. You can say things like "Well this product may be expensive from X source, but you can get a GREAT deal and free shipping if you make a purchase through Amazon here:"

Sometimes being OBVIOUS and drawing attention to things like that help. And it's not against any rules I have read.

Great; thanks guys. Indeed, I thought that you would be able to draw attention to the ads; after all, you only get paid if your visitors actually buy the product rather than just click the ad (as Will said). I just didn't want to mess up and get my account banned.

It's a great advantage that you can add images next to the affiliate links. Adsenss doesn't allow the use of images in that way.

I like the Amazon product links that include images of the product. You can see such product links on "my" new Christmas blog, on articles such as the one about making a Christmas garden (where no attention is drawn to the products) and on the one about snowman building kits (where the article is totally based around the products).

I like the size and design of this type of Amazon product link, but maybe someone else knows better; are different types more profitable?
