I had *never* touched my ClickBank account until yesterday.

KonCorps talked me into joining up at NicheChoppers (thought I'd chuck that in for the fun of it). Given that the information I have read is accurate (which it seems it is), any dedicated person could start their own goldmine.

I'm going to share with you a little bit about what I've done and what I'm going to be doing with the knowledge that I have obtained from their forums.

Here's what I've done:

1. Read information at NicheChoppers.
2. Picked a product, that NicheChoppers sell via ClickBank.
3. Did some keyword research. Found a keyword with <100k competitors and >200 searches daily.
4. Registered an exact match domain name.
5. Picked a landing page. Sent it live. Rewrote the copy (it now passes CopyScape).
6. Performed a little more keyword research. Found 11 relevant keywords with <10k competitors and more than 30 searches per day (some hugely better than others).
7. Ordered a sample article (300 words) from a writer. Decided it was decent, submitted it to Ezine Articles (still awaiting approval).
8. Ordered 10 more articles after having been satisfied with the first. ETA: within 24 hours from now.

Here's what I'm going to do:

1. Submit the remaining 10 articles to Ezine Articles.
2. Wait around a week, to see how the Ezine Articles run organically.
3. Perform some link building to the Ezine Articles that are ranking poorly.
4. Appreciate my first sale(s).
5. Perform more keyword research to develop more Ezine Articles.
6. Focus on getting the landing page to rank well for it's keyword.
7. Start a new project. Experiment with new products.

Here's what should happen:

The Ezine Articles are all targeting keywords that receive a reasonable number of searches, every single day. I am going to do my best to get these to rank on the first page of Google. With the help of enticing Author Bio's, I should receive around a 50% CTR to my landing page. Those that are interested will proceed to purchase the product, making me around $20 richer.

I already had a fair grasp on keyword research. I knew how to perform article marketing for a content site.

Everything else is pretty new to me. They've got some excellent methods on traffic generation.

Provided everything is accurate, and that I manage to earn some profit out of this project (I'll consider the forum registration cost a project expense), I'd go so far as recommending their forum to others.

It will be interesting to see if this pays out for you.

Most of these types of memberships promise everything and deliver very little of real value. It's worth it if you learn one of more good methods that pay for the membership.

I have always been interested in ClickBank, but have never done anything with it.

The past couple of days have been pretty busy. Upon suggestion of more experienced marketers, I've changed a few of my tactics.

I was told to write one high-quality article (yes, me, I was told not to outsource it). It had to be engaging, low on factual information and relate to how the potential customer would probably be feeling. Upon approval, this article is going to be promoted using a method specific to NicheChoppers (which cannot be publicly disclosed).

I've shown the article to a few successful marketers (I'm actually really surprised that they're willing to offer the time to help me) and they said that it should produce quite a few conversions for me, after having performed the method I was talking about just before (it takes two steps, is very simple and I can see how it can be so easily effective - but I am yet to see the results, as Ezine Articles have not yet approved my articles).

I have performed 6 link wheels. I have 12 articles in the queue at Ezine Articles (including the article I was talking about above), all linking to my landing page.

I have also purchased another domain. I'm not going to throw a landing page up on this one. I'm actually just redirecting it to my hoplink. This is for a completely new product. I am going to write an article (very shortly, actually) and send it live on Ezine Articles, before performing "the method." This is the only form of marketing that I am going to attempt for this product. This is to test: a) how much income this method can generate (obviously, it will vary from product to product) b) the consistency of the income c) the durability of the income.

After having spoken to a few successful marketers, from what I can gather, "the method" should bring in around $100/month if performed properly (and that's per article that you write). I'll soon see. It just seems too easy. It took around an hour and a half to write and revise (3 times) a good, high-quality article and "the method" will only take an investment of around $5 once Ezine Articles has approved my article. Surely passive income cannot be that easy to generate.

I feel like I've learned quite a lot over the past 3 days. I'm yet to find out if I learned what I need to know in order to succeed.

This may sound like a dumb question, but what is a "link wheel"?

It's a reasonably new term, but it has spread quickly. It was created by a member of Niche Choppers. It consists of building a series of web 2.0 properties (WordPress, Tumblr, LiveJournal, Squidoo, HubPages etc.), linking one to another (WordPress -> Tumblr, Tumblr -> LinkJournal..., HubPages -> WordPress) forming a wheel. All properties also link to the page that you are aiming to promote. The properties are then pinged and social bookmarked. It works pretty effectively.

Any updates on this project? I'm interested.

Product #1 has had 12 hops.

Product #2 has had 39 hops.

I am now averaging 7-8 hops per day, and increasing.

In theory, product #1 should be doing better than product #2.

I'm yet to see any sales...

Thank you for sharing your affiliate marketing journey. I have only sold 1 product on Clickbank till now. I did article marketing but wrote just a few articles. I'm looking forward to learning more from your experience.
