I am writing this posts for newbies who have skills but having tough time getting orders. Now you can earn money from Hostgator Affiliate Program by using this technique:
1-Offer some services worth $10 minimum.
2-Register Yourself with Hostgator Affiliate Program
3-Ask your service buyer to register on to Hostgator Baby plan using your referral link and use 'hgcouponblog' (without quotes) and they can enjoy hosting for 1 month for 1 cent or they can just throw it away if they dont need it. Wait.... you will not be paid referral commission now.
4-Wait for the next month and ask your service buyer to pay for the next month $9.95 for baby plan and your commission that is $50 for 1-5 months hosting, will be awarded.
So, you can enjoy $40 profit this way. Its easy but most of the webmasters may not agree on it. So, convincing them is your responsiblity as they are not doing any thing other then paying the money to hostgator on your behalf.
Hope that helps. Thank you

It is not very easy to cheat companies like Hostgator, Google Adsense and so on.. They have very close tracking of what you cannot imagine and hence you can never cheat them.
Anyways, the idea is quiet good to offer something that worth $10. You can get a profit of $40 in this way.
Wouldn't it be better to offer a $10 ebook free after they sign up? Or would that be considered giving an incentive (therefore against the terms of some affiliate programs) to get the sale?
Another option would be to send them through a mailist signup before redirecting them to Hostgator, then at least you've got their email address and you can offer them other deals in the future.

I see a lot of sites that offer a good deal but only if you sign up for hostgator.
Like, I will build you a site if you use hostgator.
Or you can be a member of my paid membership site and not have to pay the monthly fee for every month you stay with hostgator.
Nothing wrong with that.

Wait a second...Why would it be a problem to offer an incentive if someone signs up through your affiliate link? Host Gator is getting the sale, so whatever you are doing to do it--so long as you aren't FORCING someone--is fair game, no? Should probably read the TOS.
Nothing at all with offering an incentive to join.
Heck, 99% of marketers give incentives to buy this, join that, and so forth.
Look at godaddy and other registrars who offer a free domain if you host with them.
That's an incentive.
