    Preselling

Preselling in affiliate marketing basically means praising the product and trying to motivate the buyer to buy it before sending him to the vendor site, in order to increase conversation rates.

Obviously not something you can do in adsense.. so it's somehow new to me as a recovering adsense addict

I'm experimenting with it and added an expensive review article to the site in hopes of increasing the the sales and during the first week the sales tripled
Most likely just a temporary glitch though, I get similar increases sometimes after doing changes on the site, so will have to wait longer to gather better stats.

But that convinced me to invest more effort/money into these reviews.

What's your experience on the topic?

Preselling DEFINIATELY works. It's more essential for higher ticket products which are harder to sell. The potential customer first has to trust the affiliate before trusting the merchant offer, so creating an unbiased review or something similar works well.

I like using a top 3 review style landing page.
