    Question 90 Days PM Pruning

    Hello,
First of all, the limit of 5000 PM's is really great!
But as NetBuilders grows, my PM box is growing too... at the moment I'm only at 278 PM's... but once it will get to the top and I have a little problem...

I can't delete PM's as I think, "I might need them sometime", but mostly I don't need them
So can you please add the 90-day PM prune mod, like on DP?

Than they will go away without me knowing it... thanks a lot in advance!

P.s. don't hurry, you're doing a great job, and this would be another great feature (for me)

Thanks & NetBuilders is the best webmaster forum

What does this 90 days pm pruning system do? It deletes Pms that are 90 days old?

Yes it does, after 90 days the 90-days old PM's are auto-removed

What if I needed something important? I guess I could probably just download it in txt format.

Well mostly, it's something with advertising things... and than I need to watch my PM's, but mostly I can think about it afterwards..

But I try to organize everything as good as possible...

Though, I just think this is a pretty nice feature

If we can select that as an option, then ok, else, I prefer it as is.

Message pruning is only necessary when you're limited in the number of messages you can store.

At NB, you're currently allowed to store 5,000 private messages. I'd rather raise that to 50,000 than to implement message pruning.

I think that Google has taught us all that disk space is cheap.

NetBuilders is hosted on hardware provided by Free Internet Media. FIM currently uses a NetApp StoreVault S550 for primary data storage.

That should provide us enough disk space until at least the middle of 2010.

I do agree to that. What i usually do is, I delete the unwanted msgs as soon as i get to them. This keeps things clean for me.

Another gripe I have about DigitalPoint is the 1,000 messages limitation. I used to have to go through and make space about every other day when I was doing a lot of business
