Chain Threads should not be allowed anymore !

I don't see those as spam, those are "legit" threads, even though I never take part in them (1 or 2 exceptions might apply, sometimes for administrative purposes).

Every forum as a General Chat section, NB is a free forum where people hardly ever get bugged for doing whatever. (exceptions apply when it's OBVIOUS spam with whatever intentions)

As for the quality thing... well, who started most of those threads?

Let's keep it running for now.

What harm are they doing and you obviously can't have to big of a problem if you post in them. Anyway it is these types of threads that people like to go on after working for the whole day unless you are like me and don't work a lot.

See, my thoughts on this are from a guest reputation perspective. I've seen members who have posted 50-500 times. All of their posts are long, elaborate, and very useful. I've also seen members who have over one thousand posts, and, like jakki just showed, most of them are one liners, usually repetitive, in the same thread, and most usually in the General Chat section.

For some nice examples, look at these:
