I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.
Come (25 June, 2009)
This template in fact, is a lot more pleasing to the eye.

Sorry, I didn't see it
I was afraid because it's the only link I click
Thanks![]()
- Blue font on blue background, Private Messages link color should be changed probably to green like the one on net or bit lighter, because it's not blending well with the background which is blue too.
- Separate the bar which contains the menu links (e.g. User CP, blogs....), aligning it with the borders of the main forum wrapper.
- Last thing, would be to make a few changes to the theme, using a theme which is used on many forums just makes this forum look less serious and professional. Personally when I visit a forum with a theme I've seen before on many other forums, my first impression is "close the page".
That one is proving to be a bit difficult.
Here's the snippet of code I'm struggling with:
It works fine when the user has pending notifications, but presents as you've seen when the user has no pending notifications.Code:<if condition="$show['member']"> <div class="smallfont" style="color:#efefef"> <phrase 1="$pmbox[lastvisitdate]" 2="$pmbox[lastvisittime]">$vbphrase[last_visited_x_at_y]</phrase> <if condition="$show['notifications']"> <div><span id="notifications"><a href="usercp.php?$session[sessionurl_q]" style="color:#efefef">$vbphrase[your_notifications]:</a> <strong>$notifications_total</strong></span></div> <if condition="$show['popups']"> <script type="text/javascript"> vBmenu.register("notifications"); </script> <else /> <script type="text/javascript" src="clientscript/vbulletin_notifications_nopopups.js?v=$vboptions[simpleversion]"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> vBulletin.register_control("vB_Notifications_NoPopups", "notifications"); </script> </if> <else /><if condition="$show['pmstats']"> <div><phrase 1="$vbphrase[unread_x_nav_compiled]" 2="$vbphrase[total_x_nav_compiled]" 3="$session[sessionurl_q]">$vbphrase[private_messages_nav]</phrase></div> </if></if> <if condition="$show['pmwarning']"><div><strong><phrase 1="$vbphrase[pmpercent_nav_compiled]">$vbphrase[your_pm_box_is_x_full]</phrase></strong></div></if> </div> </if>
I'm confused on this one. Why separate the navbar menu? It seems to already be aligned with the borders of the main forum wrapper?
What browser are you using?
I'm trying to go the opposite direction on this one. vBulletin is so bad at mixing code and data that every minor vBulletin upgrade means a theme upgrade and remaking an enormous number of small and complex template modifications.
It's a recipe for trouble and I'm trying to avoid as much of that trouble as possible.
There are so many themes out in the world that the odds of any one forum member running into the same (non default) theme twice are reasonably small.

It's not looking bad, but it doesn't have the professional look a webmaster discussion platform like NetBuilders should have. Will should give Jorge05r a try to create a nice layout
Jorge comes up with amazing ideas and every design he creates looks very professional![]()

Will here's what I mean for the alignment,
I do like the theme, love the colors, it matches very well with the logo. What I meant was just to make small changes to the graphic design elements which would only require image replacements, not too make it look better because it's fine the way it is but to make it look just a bit different that the original theme.
Also make the USER CP menu font smaller, probably 11px
