    Forum Rules/Guidelines?

Are there any forum rules or guidelines? A general all-encompassing set? I cannot find one anywhere...

If not, then my question is: Are affiliate links permitted either in posts or signatures?

Yes. The Announcement and Suggestions forum provides a list of guidelines. As the forum rules and processes are still being hashed out, we don't currently have a "general all-encompassing set."

Thankfully, to date, the members have been extremely respectful of each other's space.

For reference, we currently only have 4 guidelines:

    Low Quality Posts
Currency Exchange (More of a warning)
VCC Sales (More of a warning)
    Signature and Link Sales

OK, now at least I don't feel so bad. Realized earlier today that I'd never actually looked at the guidelines even though I joined at startup. Now I realize there's a good reason... they arent physically gathered into a doc.

Fwiw, you've done well without them. When you decide to put them on paper, keep it uber simple (ala V7, short and enforceable) instead of ultra complex like DP. I have written a lotta guidelines over the years and discovered the more spelled out and detailed they are, the more people will use the wording to create microscopic differences between what they did and the letter of the law. [As a military buddy loved to say... flexibility is the key to indecision.] Always leave yourself room to "make the call".

The people here all know forums, and common sense and experience tells them what they can and cant get away with. Still the vast difference between what's allowed at some vs others probably will dictate that you'll need to get them on paper pretty soon. You can fly by wire in startup mode, but you'll need something to point to as the membership continues to grow.
