How about starting a contest to blog about NB?

Nah, that would be a waste of time. The best way to get mentioned is to get some of the top webmaster blogs to mention the contest and then the trickle down effect will work. Creating blogs to blog about the site would be bad for NB, not good. It'll come off as spam.
