Hi,
iTrader is only a guide and post count don't make you creditable IMO. The seller can state the guideline in the post on who they wish to give a review copy to.

As usual, you seem to be missing the point, Bozonessinc.
I'm not debating anybody's ability to write a review or form a coherent set of details. I'm talking about the image of the forum as presented to a new member trying to offer their products and/or services. Imagine if you sign up somewhere and offer your new service - a few minutes later, a ton of seemingly new people with little posts and few iTrader decide to bombard you with review requests... it's unsettling, and this has been proven.
It's a lot like when you're walking down a street in a major city and homeless people are grabbing at you for change, as compared to when you're in a coffee shop and the guy in front of you asks if he can borrow a dime to cover the tax.
That proves that you are indeed missing the point. Let me quote myself:Say, someone could join and make 1,000 crap posts and have 15 iTraders from say a scam ect. So they deserve a review copy but... Someone with say 100-200 quality posts, and only 2+ iTraders doesn't.
It has nothing to do with the person's ability to write a review. Obviously we want quality posts here and we want people to engage in legitimate business - but that's not what I'm talking about here. My point is that we should have some system to stop people from being here for a short period of time and spamming the marketplace with review requests.I'm not debating anybody's ability to write a review or form a coherent set of details. No, that's not right at all. I didn't 'propose' any rules. I said, and I quote: (notice the part in red)
"15 positive iTrader OR 700 posts (just two random numbers... could be anything)"
I introduced this topic so that perhaps the NB staff could set a realistic minimum iTrader or Post Count to stop new members from spamming the marketplace looking for review copies and making the forums here look unprofessional.
Hi,
Off topic but I just have to say it. I think they made a movie and a TV show about you two.
It was called the Odd Couple.![]()
I must admit the banter between you two in this forum is priceless.

can we just make it minimum of 5 itraders instead of 15.
i agree to the suggestion as well even when i have just 2itraders yet.![]()
i guess it would be reasonable not give a review copy to someone with zero itrader and 2 post counts because he requested it the first. i'd rather give a review copy to someone who is legitimate and had earned trust in the forum.
I think you guys should spend less time deciding how many iTrader's should be required in order to request a review copy, and more time deciding whether or not it is really necessary.
Net Builders - Show Groups - Reviews from some of these guys would be a lot more beneficial than reviews from people with >x iTrader's and >xxx Posts.
This is something that should really be left up to the seller. The seller is not obliged to offer review copies at all. However, they do seem to have a tendancy to work effectively for both parties.
Reconsider what you guys should be asking yourself.![]()

Some Points to be noted ....
1. its depend on seller to chose that who is best to review his product/service.
2. what if anyone build lot of itrader by just giving free review and in exchange getting itrader of buyer instead of trade....
3. is this really necessary for really interested people/member to gain some itrader before getting review to buy that service...
4. And at this moment NB not have very active marketplace or too much active poster to ready 15 itrader or 700 post....
so better to not think on this point at this moment{IMHO}

Well, I think that this debate is just going on and on and it is not at all necessary. Because it is totally the choice of the seller about whom to give a review copy and whom to not. If we make a rule about giving a review copy, then no one will be able to sell anything comfortably. Rather if the seller wants to give the review copy to a good guy, then e can write in the thread that "I will give the review copy to ... member or the review copy has already been giving so, don't ask for it".
I think this will lessen the spam and useless posting.
