The contest prompted me to try many new stuff and yes.. at the last moment, it was something that I tried with a trump card.. To get back to #2 from #6/7.

Congrats to all! 4th place for me. Not that bad considering the effort I put in. I think that's good enough contest for me for 2009. Unless some contest comes out with a super large prize, that might change my mind.

I guess Hellas and Sunita are now new names we will be seeing in future competitions. Who is .biz btw?

Congrats Hellas. Well deserved you have a well optimised site. The only thing I didn't like with what you did was your blogroll link to Sulumits Retsambew Exploring Last Sulumits Retsambew Month with the same anchor text you were targeting. It was like you were spreading the risk or something? Feel free to give feedback on that. Again, congrats bro. 70 hours of work has paid off!

On the begining of the contest, I was first and Sunita was second.
That stayed for a month. So we arranged deal, since we are the most relevant sulumits, for link exchange. Direct link exchange with main keyword!
We also arranged in that moment that from frontpage we will not link to any other sulumits retsambew site except if site is supporter entry of us, but even in that case without exact match name

. Since links were sitewide I dont think it was so useful for ranking boost.

Actualy not, but I will drink few tonight

All five of my blogroll link were reciprocal, but I tried not to push.

Hellas has already replied your doubt. It was a purely friendly link exchange that didn't give much of ranking boost but surely little some traffic. It'd have given a good boost in rankings if the age, ranking, and PR of the sites differed much. That was not the case. They had same age, same PR (ZERO) and almost similar rankings.

The only negative thing Hellas caught once... was the iframe worm

.. But it was all set and fixed soon...
