ChillingBreeze, I have not been following whats been happening since the beginning of the contest, just showed interested at the end of it.

You do realize toolbar PR is not the real PR of a site? How are they not ranking, they are #1 and #2.

Your raised a good question, dcristo. By rankings, I meant the close rankings so the link juice wasn't very fruity in this case.

The real PR.. well well.. First, I don't believe much in PR. And if I'm supposed to do, then it is the authority and PR on the internal pages too that matters.. And may bring some value to the sites that link to it.

If I understand you correctly I couldn't disagree with you more. Just because 2 domains have a similar domain authority doesn't mean a mutual reciprocal link exchange can't be beneficial. If you meant something else please explain...

You got it correct. In terms of rankings, there will not be alarming benefits if the link exchange is done between almost similar authority and stats.

All reciprocal links are not created equal. If you can get a link from an authority site, that's a good thing to do IMO.

Site A exchanges link (same anchor text or different) with Site B

Site A -> younger than Site B in age, No PR or lesser PR than Site B, way too lower search engine rankings than Site B

Site B -> Trusted site with Google authority, good age, decent rankings

Result of link exchange? Site A will get great benefits in terms of rankings. Site B will not be affected much by passing little link juice.

    Hope that clears things

That's surely a good thing if you get a one-way link or even do link excahnge with an authority site.

I know that you Will dont use this no country redirect Google,
but probably google is redirecting you there according to your computer settings.
Does not work. It redirects back to google.com

Congrats to everyone who won! I'm looking forward to playing in many more SEO contests and strengthening my abilities to rank high in the US as well as try some Europe targets
