You need NOT to do MUCH work, Cijo.. Just fix these issues that Hellas pointed and I hope you'd notice some changes.

- you are not using properly h2 tag (you put the date in it, is date so much important)
- your content should be closer to the body

I don't see an end date. I do see that it was started last month, though, so maybe I still have a chance.

I was considering joining too around week back but all the good domains are taken

I'm wondering why you wish to start with a new and keyword domain only. Just have a look at first page results and 4 of the contest entries are non-keyword and old domains. Even I've entered with a new sulumits retsambew contest entry to test some stuff and I'm already on page 7 just after the launch.

Hi, I just found this very interesting site/contest/thread! I don't think I will participate since I'm not a SEO master, but I'm going to follow it with great interest! I've already learn a lot reading those 80 pages! Better than 95% of the ebooks out there!

Some questions:

1) In the current contest, if someone is able to rank a website #1 very fast, for a short period of time, and he does it August 15, does he win? Even if his site is nowhere to be found or is banned 2 days later?

2) Some people here seem to be really good at SEO. I'd like to know if those people use black hat methods (let's say spamming using xrumer) amongst other to get good ranking. I'm not into black hat but I'm very curious to know how people are able to rank so well.

I may participate in future contests, if my SEO skills improve!

Thats a good question. I only see that the winner will be determined by SERP and nothing about the means by which ranking is attained. No matter, this will be great if only to see how good organic tactics stack up to others use of blackhat methods (if they are allowing them).
