Thread: Netbuilders - A/c of One year

Net builder is completing one year tomorrow.

In your opinion what are the achievements, limitations, things to do for more improvement and mistakes to be rectify.

Also submit suggestions and feed back to make NB the best Webmaster forums.

we want more buyers and sellers
marketplace is not working

1. I feel that you need to make improvement in Marketplace by putting separate sub-forums each for WTS, WTB, WTH, etc. This will make it more user friendly.

2. JOKES section should be added.

3. Referral feature should also be added wherein one can get 5 Netbucks for referring a person to this forum. Once that new member contributes 50 posts then the referral gets additional 50 Netbucks. Also, if that new member gets a 1st positive iTrader then the referral should be credited with additional 100 Netbucks.

4. In case a successful deal happens then that entry should be shown in light colour in Marketplace so that one will know that deal is closed.

5. Premium listing should be added in Marketplace wherein the post will remain on top. One can charge a small fee also ( preferably Netbucks ) for the same.

6. In order to improve the quality of the forum and eliminate spam, 5 Netbucks should be awarded to the member who first points out the spam.

IF any of my above suggestions are accepted then I should be credited with 500 Netbucks

I agree about the marketplace being inactive. It needs to get buffed.

What kind of motivation and incentives will work, it should be like webmaster always prefer NB for market place only.

1. If we add separate sub forums for WTB,WTS etc the market place will look too inactive.

2. We already have a jokes thread I don't really see the need for a whole sub forum on it.

3. There is a referral program all ready I am pretty sure.

4. You are able to lock your own thread if you want to under thread tools.

5. I don't really see why anyone should get a better chance than anyone else by paying and the market place is still small enough that your thread doesn't go down very far.

6. At the moment there isn't a lot of spam and I think that if you start paying Net Bucks for people reporting posts I think that there will be a huge influx in reported posts that aren't really that bad. IMHO

That's already the case (referrals). The iTrader thing can be abused to easily so that's a no.

Just a 'lock' icon is fine IMO

We should not think about other forums, although it's a nice suggestion. But for the people watching the BST section it isn't necesarry yet. Once it gets more views every second, it could be an idea yes.

A points-per-report should be cool indeed, but than I'm more thinking about a 'reporter of the month', 'poster of the month' where every 'X of the month' will get a $NB reward (take 250 or 500 for example as a thanks).

This would create a bunch of useless inactive forums and a very complicated structure, specially when we don't have enough traffic there.

Not really, we're trying to get rid of that "Elite" concept.

I do reward those "spam reporters" once in a while, yet, I don't think we should "rule" that, the same way we don't "rule" bad behaviors.

Sellers not to invest some time in order to be successful. First, sellers need to monitor their threads and respond in a timely manner. Second, sellers need to have some patience. Third, sellers need to build their reputation so that they attract buyers. Marketplaces on other forums weren't built in a day.
