Thread: NetBuilders is Under New Ownership

  1. #21
Rob, welcome aboard as Will's successor. I'm all for any changes that reduce junk posts. I'd much prefer to network with professionals who have a drive to succeed, not a bunch of dweebs getting paid a nickel per post or trying to get a backlink to their crap website.

    Thanks Rob Jones.
I haven't been active there in 5 years. Before that, v7n had a few momentums but sort of lost quality by trying too hard to get members. Not sure it is the moderators' fault though. It depends always on the business model really. Forums are usually set up to either gain members and then hope quality follows or focus on quality knowing that members will come.

If the content can stand on its own, everything will fall into place. When you compromise quality to reward members' activity regardless of what they contribute, you will not likely get the most knowledgable people to spend their time there.

OK I just logged into v7n and you are a mod there. What am I not getting?

Probably a true statement for anyone but the aforementioned dweebs themselves, so ftr, we agree with you.

I just just kidding. Rob is a good guy and been around forums for longer then me. He will do well with his new powers on netbuilders and that's the honest truth.

Congrats on the acquisition and the sale. It would be nice to see this place pick up again in terms of quality.

    Congratulations Rob.

I am late, sorry was not active at NB for last few months. Seen this thread today only.

I always believe there is a room and need of good webmaster forums. Hopefully NB will be it.

    Let's make it.

    Good luck
