I was editing it to $NetBucks :D
His choice. :p
EDIT
Will likes NetBucks. I've changed it to NetBucks but kept the $ sign so we can easily quickly type $NB (NetBucks) avoiding any confusion with NB (NetBuilders).

Wait. You just told me kbank is still off. That was kbank.
This is the vBCredits equivalent:
Awards Negation Multiplier:
Whenever an applicable negation award is reversed, this value will be multiplied against the original award and given to the user. For example, if you award 10 credits for a new thread, and want to deduct 15 for having it deleted, specify -1.5. To disable negated awards, use 0.
It's already set to -1.5. Either that's the default and it doesn't work, or you've set it. ;)
Looks like we might be SOL on this. This is a known bug in 1.4rc2.
"Due to a bug in rc1 (and the only reason this is still rc2) post/thread negation has been temporarily disabled while I work on it. It will be fixed before I call it gold :p"
Well I'm hoping it all turns out well, I've seen many forums trying this, in the beginning it's amazingly cool but in the end out turns out to be nothing (only spammy posts for credits).
But I'm sure you guys have some good ideas with it!
Even more weirdness: bogart is here! :-)
Quick question - what is vbCredits going to be used for?
Is there a thread about how the $NB are distributed?
There will be, once the system goes into production for real -- if the system goes into production for real.
Right now, that's an area of major concern because of exactly the issue which Aquarezz pointed out. We want to reward people for great posts -- not for spam.
These answers are being developed. The system is under test.
No answers soon. :)
Possibilities include:
- Exchanging credits into cash with Cash Conversion
- Members creating their own shops with vBCommerce
But all of these things introduce possible bugs and potential exploits and they will have to be extensively play tested. This will not be a quick process.
I know it's all just testing, but if this goes into production, may want to not charge 2 $NB for sending PMs, else soon I'll be owing you credits:p
