Thanks for creating this Poll, although I can still view the post count in the profile, but it would be great if it is visible.

I think we must go with one thing whether you must hide post count or user custom tittle options . By this we can know how old users is and how we can deal with them . Right now we don't know how many posts you have and even your title are custom one , So when I want to trade with you then I have to go and check how old member are you on this forum .

Thanks for the opinions, now myself I've chosen for Yes (Sorry Will ). I've been thinking about the advantages and disadvantages. And the result was that there were more advantages than disadvantages. Ofcourse we'll see what other people say.

Maybe like I said in another thread, not counting the post counts in: GC, NB Lounge NX and Introduction forum, as those are the more 'offtopic parts'. But it's up to the staff to take the final decision

If post count is disable for forum like General Chat, it would somehow discourage people from posting there, we should not put too much restrictions on members

Well in my opinion we're better off with those people that wouldn't post just because their 'counter' isn't going up. This is a webmaster forum, for offtopic people should visit OffWalk.Com

If we apply your method on dp users and stop counting their post counts then many top post count users will lose many thousand posts counts . Just go and check users those are offer 8k to 11k posts count sign links are from general section .

That's exactly what I mean, ofcourse there are webmasters that read the posts in GC, but you'll get more clicks on signature from a person that has 5K posts in webmaster related forums, than a user with 8K posts from where tons are posted in the GC. But that's for DigitalPoint, and I'm glad we're not DP

Thank you very much Aquarezz for thinking of offwalk as good enough option for General discussion.

And as far as this thread is of concern, I would say when I was not a webmaster at the time of joining NB my opinion was the same for the post count and even after being a part time webmaster my stand is same. And if in any case I happen to be full time webmaster my opinion would remain the same, that the post counts should be visible.

IMO it shows the status and the contribution of the particular member to NB. Also the newbies and guests come to know the about the activeness of the particular member.

There are more advantages then disadvantages for the post counts, please note this is my personal view and I am very sure the admins would do the best in the interest of NB members and NB.

    G!
