Post counts in the General Chat area

I'm all for not counting posts in General Chat for the count. I can understand some people are very social beings, and the general is a great place for them to chat it up, thus I'm quite happy for those people, but there is no need for any of those posts to count towards their "total". This is a webmaster forum, posts about webmaster related content are what counts to me.

And the off topic
I'd be interested in a private proxy area Mr.Bill. A place for people who are primarily focused on web proxies to discuss things, I think, could be quite beneficial. I've got some big plans for the coming months, and once I get things ironed out and rolling, I 'd love to discuss them with serious proxy admins, as opposed to the general population of 'fly by night so-called' proxy admins.

@ Mr.Bill, I think it will be a very good idea to create a private proxy group so that we can share ideas... and get decent opinions from other proxy owners etc... This will be good as i am also starting some big projects over the summer and would like some good input while i am doing it.

I would vote for not counting posts in General Chat too even though there are some very useful posts in there. The amount of posts don't matter that much to me but it gives a rough indication about someone's relevant activity on the forum.
I'm all for socializing and having fun -i think we can't do without- but in my opinion the overly majority center of gravity of subjects

should be webmaster related.

thread drift: Will, any chance for the business sub-forum to move to a general business forum?

Yes. I think most posts in the business sub-forum are related or at least related to making money

It seems a bit out of place next to Entertainment and Politics and Religion.

We're just a bit imbalanced right now.

I'll feel a lot better when a lot more NetBuilders are making a lot more money online.

When I saw the revenue numbers people posted recently, I said to myself "We have a lot of work to do!"

Tell me about it Will. If I honestly look at the time I've put into becoming a webmaster the amount I've earned would be almost none existant.

So if you feel the need to send some love my way, then by all means go for it!
