The self introduction thread is getting out of hand, with people introducing themselves and current members welcoming them all on the single thread, I think it's time for a standalone forum for 'Self Introduction'.

Unfortunately, introduction forums are just begging to be spammed. If you look at the introduction forums of some of our competitors, it's just people running up their post counts to sell signature links.
I had a better idea for forum member introductions, but the person I was working with to implement it disappeared suddenly. I hope he's alright! I will have to find a new person for that project.

I too agree with Will. The best thing is that new members need to be welcomed by one of the senior members or an admin/moderator. Hope this avoid spamming in intro threads.

Well do this then
- Creation A Introduction Section
- Only Members Can View This Area
- If people post in this section its not counted towards the post count
That would be the best solution
I think the intro thread is the best solution. You won't have as much "clutter" and it is in one easy to manage thread![]()
