Sticky threads for NB$

People can make their thread sticky for few hours or a day by paying some amount of NB$.

How's the idea.

To make sure we wouldn't see 30 sticky threads we'd have to charge such a high amount that no 1 would use the system.

I've seen this happen at Namepros and the result was 20+ sticky threads per sub-forum.

I have a idea for that too. You can set the limit of 2 sticky at a time and keep a charge of about 300-500 NB$ t make sure its used and used by people who don't spam simply.

That's just a personal idea from me.

I think, the current idea is better. Forum leaders make very useful threads sticky, free.

Ya, this is good. But I am talking about threads in BST which are temporary and which people want to be seen by everyone. OR may be you can implement a colored threads.

I was actually thinking 300 - 500 was too little.

1000 is worth $10, purchased directly from Will. You could easily make that back with one sale, which I'm sure a Sticky Thread would bring you. I was actually thinking more in the range of 3000-5000 $NB.

The maximum NB$ should be 1000 per sticky and maximum 3 stickies should be allowed at a time.

1000 NB$ costs $10 if purchased, but if you look the other way round, 1000 is worth $6 if you sell to Will.

$10 is far too cheap for a Sticky Thread, which could potentially offer 5x the sales that you would otherwise make.

$30-$50 would sound more reasonable to me.

Its not worth $50 to get a sticky thread for a few hours but everyone should get a fair chance so I don't think you should be able to buy sticky threads.
