There are too many sub-forums in NB. And that's really boring.
I don't really like the way the forums/sub-forums are currently.

I think it was fine before the merge but I think there are to many now especially in General Chat.
Not just that. The Building forum also has too many sub-forums.Quote:

agreed. The "Building" forum is like a huge mix of just about everything. A better name for it would be SEO & Marketing forum
Site Reviews should go under "Managing"
Merge the "Promoting" with the newly created SEO & MArketing (see above) or at the very least, move all the SEO and MArketing sub forums under "Building" directly into the Promoting forum.
Make one big "General OFf Topic" forum rather then one and all the sub forums
I agree, we need to slim down a bit.
I think it's more of a re-organizing problem than a slimming problem. I don't want to overstep my boundaries, but the building forum could be its own category with "SEO" and "Keyword Research" combined into one. Does keyword research require an entire forum to discuss? Same for "web design" and "graphics." Those can both be under the same forum.
In Promotion, "social bookmarking" and "social networking" could probably just be combined into one big "social media" forum.
For monetizing: does adsense need its own forum?
Those would be my ideas for making things look a bit more organized and less imposing.
So far it's ok for me, don't find it too many.
I don't like to search too much after topics in a specific forum. That's why it's good as it is IMO. Imagine you're searching for topics about keyword research but they are between the hundreds other topics... But some forums might be closed indeed ;)
