Thread: Userinfo too busy?

Currently it looks too busy.

Won't it be good if the less useful ones are deleted? Like "Thanks: x" and "Last Online: x".

What do you think?

By the way you will see it less busy if you use any of the other color themes like "Chat Fusion" or "Default Style".

This is a recurring discussion here.

The problem we run into is that every field is used by a different group of members.

Every field has it's supporters.

For example, the Last Online field is used heavily in the Marketplace.

I think that the only thing that could really be taken out is the post count. Although I know many people are not keen to do this.

Personally, I think the Location and the Join Date are the least important. They generally do not change, and are the sorts of things you'd use a profile for.

Locations aren't so important IMO
Join Date isn't important neither
And the 'thanks given' isn't very important neither.

But it's the same for me ofcourse, I'm happy if it will be gone or if it's not -- Not a big problem for me as I know the final decision will be the best one

I am pretty fond of Location.

I really dislike Join Date, and had removed it, but other members asked for it to come back. Maybe I'll delete it again and see if they complain again.

Strangely, I can't get rid of "Thanks Given" without also getting rid of "Thanks Received." I think I'm going to have to look at editing that plugin manually.

I have removed Join Date and Post Count.

Let's see how people feel about this change...

Post count should be there in my opinion, as that shows how old the member is while dealing with them at market place. ofcourse we can analyze that by joining date, earlier posts etc., but that is somthing like, which makes an image of a member. i personally beleive that, these should be removed -

All that someone has to do is click on the member name for their posts. And if they are thinking of buying something from them, they should have already read through their previous posts, and other information available in their profile.

It doesn't take long for someone to build up a post count in the general discussion area.
