On this subject, it would be fantastic if there was some kind of check we could do that would tell us if the person giving the advice is generally considered knowledgeable, and that can't easily be gamed.

I don't remember if I was asked that question, but a few in the list would fit me.
Really want to keep fresh on new methods and new ideas with SEO. This changes to the industry have made things more exact and less of a guess, like it was in the late 90's.
