Arrow Promoting Adsense Via Article Marketing Question

Let's say I find 5 keywords and create an adsense site around those keywords. Then, I write 5 articles SEO'd toward the keywords, and have them submitted to 400 article directories.

How long would it be before I started seeing visitors and clicks?

Not looking for exacts, just trying to see what to expect.

    Thanks

There really shouldn't be such a thing as an "AdSense site." There are only sites, and sometimes AdSense is the best way to monetize them. I would focus more on creating a good site. Then you can monetize it with AdSense is that is the best option for your content and visitors.

Regarding specific timeframes, it might be something like this:

    • Article submission
    • 1 week delay
    • Article approval
    • 1 week delay
    • Article crawled by Googlebot
    • 2 week delay
    • Links in article counted towards your SERPS and brining you traffic

Another point which should be mentioned is that Google doesn't like new sites and it doesn't like small sites. A site based around only five keywords and promoted with only five articles should not be expected to do well in Google.

How many keywords should a site have at least, to do well in Google?

Usually it's one keyword per page and one page per keyword.

In my opinion, there are some other aspects to look out apart of those will has explained above, such as the competition and the keywords popularity.

Based on my experience I manage to be on the 2 place on google SERP within 1 week and stay that way till now for at least 3 keywords (the website is 1 month old now) just because the competition is really low but the keywords are pretty popular.

The website was only has around 15 pages. It's a WP blog by the way. Of course I am adding new pages in timely basis, and promote it consistently. Oh ya I don't use that article marketing technique but concentrate on social media marketing and link building, there are where people hang out, right?

In term of adsense?? I think I made less than $10,- so far... I made more by selling products / services.

You have a flawed view of how things work. Keywords aren't important unless you find a goldmine-high-traffic-driving-keyword-that-no-one-is-optimizing-for.

Pick a head keyword that is your long term goal, and optimize everything for derivatives of it. Architecture your site properly. And take all the tail traffic you can get and convert it. No one is going to rank for "debt consolidation" overnight, those days are long gone.

Set short term goals that you can achieve, and learn from achieving them. No single URL is worth a sht. Unless it converts and you're paying for the visitors. I guess there are exceptions to that, but very few.

I don't think I concur. I believe there is good money to be made in the "bell curve" keywords -- those between the highly competitive ones and the long tail.

I would never even try to rank for "debt consolidation", but I also avoid the low RoI results that you get from untargeted pages. There are a lot of keywords to target between "debt consolidation" and the long tail.

Picking excellent keywords is important, but it's usually better to settle on just good ones to not waste too much time on keyword research and second doubts
