    1. Autoblog means, your site will update automatically, content is auto but u still need SEO work manually.
    2. Depend what type of auto blog you running.
    3. Same like normal site, Advertisement, product or anything related.

For me (most don't agree), Search Engine like google, yahoo, bing and others is world bigger auto site, all content grab by bot and update, what they do is same like most auto blog, just their scrap script is much more advance then any script you can find online , concept is same but tool and marketing make huge different ..

The usual problem with auto blogging is that the site gets placed into the supplemental index due to duplicate content.

Again I am not famialr with it. I know you can ad adsense but I think of autoblogging like autolinking. It seems spammy to me.

It's like an Internet Marketing Magic button. You have to do some form of unique twist to differentiate your site from others and get it ranked and making money.

Content syndication is common on the web and encouraged by many big names providing APIs and feeds to do so. But if you simply implement an auto-blog and sit back waiting for the money to roll in, it ain't gonna happen IMO.

Besides the things mentioned above, an autoblog lifts content from someone else's site(s). Content which you have no right to duplicate unless you have permission or have purchased such rights.

First, auto blogs are not penalized by google because of content!
This I know because my auto blogs are well indexed by google.
In many cases, pages of the auto blogs are ranked in the top 10 in seaches at google.

They make me money. Enough said.

Now the one huge big drawback?
You can get a c&d real quick from a lot of other sites and blogs you grab content from.
So choose carefully where you get your content from.

There are many webmasters out there who have 100's of autoblogs!
They would not build out so many if the traffic and the money were not there.
    Again, enough said.

Lastly, I have found on many forums, that people who are so anti-autoblogs?
Do not know what they are talking about!
Until you have autoblogs, you can not tell others about them, how they work, and especially tell others bad things about autoblogs (like google penalizing, duplicate content (of which very damn few people know what google considers duplicate content and how google deals with duplicate content), and so forth.

    Just all the above IMHO.
