I quite like the Wordpress online tool to writing posts, but thats mainly because I write my posts on about 4 different computers (and so offline tools are not the best choice for me).
I did used to use windows live writer as I was advised that I used it by someone who hired me to write on their blog. It was pretty good as far as offline tools go.
I myself use blogdesk as offline blogging client but mostly i prefer wordpress online tools as it has more easy interface to do things fast and quickly.
Tyler Cruz recommended Windows Live Writer on his blog awhile back and I remember checking it out, but I'd rather just use the online editor.
In my case, I can't see a scenario where i am going to use offline blogging client. I only use online tools.
