In the beginning I usually do one a day to get the content rolling, then cut back to three times a week.

  3. Looking at my pas experiences, I have realized posting every three days is THE best schedule you can follow:

    - Your visitors get time to comment, increasing your comment average.

    - Lesser chances of running out of ideas.

Posting everyday can get very difficult and sometimes your best posts may just get hidden.

  5. Yes, you are right about the RSS part. One big reason people unsubscribe from a blog's RSS is a high posting frequency.

I have never seen any influence of your blogging frequency on your blog's rankings.
But still i suggest you not to be like posting 10 posts in a single day and then keeping silent for the whole week. Keep updating in a regular way! that's it.
