    Google's Wordpress Sitemap Flaw

    hey,

I've been pretty much everywhere except google headquarters for the answer to this question, any insights will help!

I have a new blog and while Ive indexed this new blog along with the all in one seo plugin + meta's and its all optimized. However, google seems determined to "MISS" the meta description and the meta keywords as well as the actual title.

In google it simply shows up as "http://www.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com" then the SEO specifications at the bottom because of firefox plugin.

Has anyone run into this, if so WHAT IS IT? how does it happen and most of all how can it be fixed!?

    thanks

This probably has happened because your site may have been indexed/crawled at the 'wrong time', i mean the crawler came and the site was down or something something.
I suggest you wait a few days, it will be updated automatically. There's no reason to worry

Is the plugin installed correctly and you have the lastest version?

check when Google indexed your site (probably found in the cached page)

Are the correct HTML title tags displaying on the pages? Are the correct titles displaying in the sitemap?

Google only indexes what it sees in the client-side code. Forget about the keywords meta tag. Google hasn't used that since the 1990s.

The Meta Description is still used for providing description to a site in the SERPs. I don't think the META Keywords tag is used for any purpose.

Google does not use the meta keywords

On a new site, it might take a few weeks before the meta description is shown in the results.

Have you checked the source code to make sure that the title and description are in the header?

Ok, and what is the problem with the sitemap?

I agree that you should look to your code to make sure that the title and description is in the header. If it's all right just wait for a few days and it will be fixed...
